Annual Dinner dance was held at Gomersal Park hotel this year and attended by over 80 staff and their partners There was a small awards ceremony included in the evening where certain members of staff are recognised for going above and beyond , one of which was the Health & Safety Award chosen by the Contracts Manager and this was presented to Mick Taylor Commitment award this year was presented to Douglas Eastwood for his continued dedication to Triton A team quiz started the evening off with the prize for the wining table being in dispute due to cheating allegations ! Triton are delighted to have been placed 60th on this years Insider Growth Awards. This event recognises businesses from across the region achieving not just rapid but sustained fast growth Achieving a place in the Growth list is not easy.Based on data from the past five years they work out the average increase in turnover and rank accordingly , meaning continued success is what they recognise . The event was held at the Thorp Park Hotel and was attended by a diverse selection of business , the Construction industry was well represented throughout the list which is good news in itself

This week we have had the pleasure of working with Harrison Lockwood as part of his work experience from Mirfield Free Grammar school Harrison spent the week in various departments working alongside the teams to understand the various procedures from studying drawings to working on a live current site One of his days was spent with the Construction Director and also a full day shadowing a Site Manager gave Harrison a greater understanding of how a site works Harrison also attended a Tender Settlement meeting with Estimating, Contract Manager and the Managing Director. Our team Triton charity day has raised over £6,000.00 which is a fantastic total ! The entire weekend which was organised in memory of a dear colleague and friend – Brian Myler was a huge success with over 70 people becoming involved in a 61.1 mile cycle ride and a 12 mile walk which all the children involved finished with the youngest being five! As published in the Yorkshire Evening Post Youngsters from Five Lanes Primary School in Upper Wortley closed the door on summer term with a visit to Greenhill Fold to learn about housebuilding and how historic buildings can be given a new lease of life. The children, who are all on the school council, were given an insight into the construction industry as well as learning how houses are built and the dangers associated with construction sites. Triton supported the day by donating a prize for the silent auction for this most deserving cause. The event was a phenomenal success and a fantastic £21,000 was raised. The funds raised will go directly towards the £7.5 million commitment to help fund a new state-of-the art facility at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
