ST MARY’S RELOCATION

Location DERBY

Project Value £870K

This project involved the stripping out and complete refurbishment of the existing office layout on the first, second and third floors, comprising 22,500 sq ft.   We also delivered a separate entrance way, new car parking and external play areas with security fencing.

St Mary’s relocation had to be completed in just 15 weeks due to the existing school falling prey to an arson attack. This existing office building was refurbished to serve as a temporary school until a new facility was procured and constructed.

The completion date had to coincide with the school opening after Easter therefore the whole client, consultant and contracting teams worked together in an open and collaborative manner to negotiate and to procure the works to ensure commence and completion could be achieved.

‘Following on from the recent completion of the fit out of St James House, Derby, we would like to thank all at Triton for reaching practical completion. With the need to urgently relocate St Marys Primary School in Derby as our incentive, fitting out over 2000m2 of floor space was achieved in just over 3 months. The team ethos and collaborative working allowed all of the challenges that the project presented to be dealt with quickly and with the minimum of fuss.

Thank you again and we hope to continue working with Triton during our busy education programme.’

‘Just a quick email to thank you and your team for the excellent work in completing St James’s Place for St Mary’s.

Your team worked together to achieve the common goal of providing a temporary location for St Mary’s in the quickest possible time and what has been achieved since Christmas is fantastic and all parties are very pleased with the outcome.
