This project was for the Construction of a new research and performance studio and offices and research facilities for Production Park. The facility is for live music and entertainment rehearsals and development and testing of the staging, lighting and sound required for national and Global touring of Artists. The building is in an existing industrial estate within an existing residential / town setting and in order to operate required significant sound reduction capability day and night to allow Artists to replicate Tour performances without disturbing the local population.

Founded in 2015, Production Park is the UK’s premier live events, film & TV campus and brings together industry, education and innovation in the creation of live experiences. Based near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, the park’s clientele includes some of the world’s biggest acts such as Beyonce & Jay-Z, Coldplay and Little Mix, as well as film & TV productions and even live sport.

Alongside the big shows, the next generation of live event professionals learn their craft at Higher Education institution, Backstage Academy, whilst the industry’s future innovations are conceived and realised at the world’s first research and innovation centre for entertainment technology and production, XPLOR.

YORK ST JOHN SPORTS CENTRE
The works comprised the construction of a new sports centre for the University, this scheme predominantly includes new team changing facilities together with officials changing, a new strength and conditioning suite, 5 court sports hall and flexible social space for teaching and social use.
