NEW TRITON MD APPOINTED

A new managing director has been appointed to lead Triton Construction, with Michael Parkinson becoming chairman. Paul Clarkson has been appointed to head up the business, which employs 80 people in Liversedge in West Yorkshire and Warrington. Triton founder Mike Parkinson becomes chairman and will lead other development interests for the company. Paul Clarkson was previously managing director at Britcon where he led for more than ten years. He previously worked alongside Michael Parkinson at ISG (formerly Totty). LIVERPOOL – TRAVELODGE OFFICIALLY OPENS

Liverpool Edge Lane Travelodge was formerly opened by Luciana Berger, MP for Liverpool Wavertree today . It is the company’s 581st hotel and its 15th in Merseyside. The Triton team completely renovated the existing century old, four storeys building on the Innovation Park that was previously occupied by the prestigious Plessey’s and more recently Marconi before becoming vacant in 2006. Triton operated a seven days per week working schedule to completely strip out and refurbish the building and completed ahead of schedule, however further repair works were required after the reception area was destroyed by a disgruntled worker. DROPS TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA

The Team has been announced for the 2019  AMGEN Tour of California Elinor Barker Megan Barker Anna Christian Lizzie Holden Joss Lowden Abby-Mae Parkinson Today they are racing in sunshine at the Amgen Tour of California, but just two weeks ago, they were tackling a wet and snowy Tour de Yorkshire. GROUND BREAKING NEW COMMUNITY CENTER FOR TRITON

A new scheme for Triton got underway today as the first sod of grass was turned for the building of the new Beeston Village Community Centre. Cllr Angela Gabriel (Beeston & Holbeck) did the honours, helped by Pat McGeever, CEO of Health For All and Steven Gould from the National Lottery Community Fund. Representatives from community groups who have used the Centre and will be using the new two storey Community Centre in future together with Architect Andrew Croxall and  main contractor Triton were also present. TRITON INVOLVED WITH THE BIG BUILD

Paul Halloran – who is Tritons dedicated Premier Inn Director was invited to attend the Scared Heart RC Primary School Science Week BIG BUILD afternoon. Paul was asked to front and answer questions from 2 classes on building in general but especially hotel building. The kids were brilliant, informed and like sponges for the information Paul passed on. Each class had a BIG BUILD to construct and as you can see they were very impressive . Paul thoroughly enjoyed his time at BIG BUILD afternoon and received some lovely thank you cards from the school.

PREMIER INN TO OPEN IN NORTH WALES THIS WEEK

Triton have been delighted to be involved in this developer lead scheme for a New 80 Bed Premier Inn and a Thyme restaurant. The new hotel at Parc Cybi in Holyhead will open on Thursday – creating around 25 jobs in the town. This  follows a near year long construction project located opposite Road King truck stop on Parc Cybi, a strategic 120 acre employment development site facilitated by the Welsh Government as part of the Anglesey Enterprise Zone.
