SLIM PICKINGS FOR TRITON’S NEW OWNERS

Employee-owned contractor Triton Construction just managed to stay in profit last year but is ready to rebound strongly, according to its founder. Turnover for the year ending 31st March 2021 at Triton Construction was down 15% at £27.7m (2020: £32.4m). It made a profit before tax of just £37,596 (2020: £1.3m.) By comparison, two years earlier, the Yorkshire-based company had made £2.6m before tax on nearly £56m turnover. REFURBISHMENT WORK IS NOW COMPLETE AT INDUSTRIAL UNITS IN BIRKENHEAD

Triton Construction has completed refurbishment work at two industrial units at Junction One Business Park in Birkenhead. The units include a new fuel testing laboratory, advanced NDT, meta preparation, SEM and microscope rooms for Brookes Bell LLP. We are delighted to have Dean Worrall join the Triton team for the next year. Dean is 23 and a student at Leeds Beckett University studying BSc(Hons) Quantity Surveying. Originally from Cambridgeshire but re-located to Leeds as he found the North to be a lot better! Dean wrote to Triton requesting a year of experience during his ‘sandwich placement’ at university and was accepted. TRITON CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES REFURBISHMENT SCHEME IN NOTTINGHAM

A £2.7 million refurbishment scheme for public areas of EastWest, a prominent, 175,860 sq ft office building in Nottingham City Centre has been completed by Triton Construction. The extensive refurbishment included major demolition works of the former Toll Hill Public House which previously occupied the ground floor of East House, and the fit out of a modern new café facility with mezzanine. Triton has also reconfigured the reception area, installed double height curtain wall glazing, refurbished the stairwell, and fixed new lifts to serve the upper seven floors. Construction of a new Premier Inn at Porthmadog is well underway. The latest hotel development in North Wales is taking shape nicely- with plans for the site to open in spring 2022 Triton Construction secured the contract to deliver the new 80-bed Premier Inn hotel in the coastal town, capitalising on a possible staycation rise. TRITON SECURES £4M CONTRACT FOR NEW ECON ENGINEERING FACILITY

Triton Construction has secured a £4m contract to deliver a new workshop facility for gritter manufacturer, Econ Engineering in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.  The contract includes site preparation and construction of a new 31,570 sq ft state of the art building with supporting facilities. Econ Engineering is a family-owned business which makes more than 85% of the UK’s winter road maintenance vehicles.  It recently purchased the 24-acre site, close to its Ripon headquarters, to facilitate expansion plans and expects to create an additional 50 new jobs.
