This project was to provide the Civil and Structural works associated with the new Acrylonitrile Purification Plant at Kemira Chemicals, Bradford.

The works were for a new high level electrical cabin inside an existing operational chemical processing plant (Bio AMD). Construction of insitu cast concrete tank farms for the storage or waste water and purified acrylonitrile, a 2 storey steel frame purification unit building. Construction of a steel frame tower to support the scrubber plant, along with a network of steel framed pipe racks across the site to support mechanical & electrical services. A resin handling facility and a 4mm deep, 400m3 capacity fire water collection pit.

The works also included the installation of underground drainage system in upvc and stainless steel, the installation of site wide earthing system, external concrete surfacing, barriers and hand rails, sheet piled retaining wall to site perimeter and provision and maintenance of the contractors village (welfare set up) throughout the works
