The project at The Arches in Salford, Manchester was to convert 10 derelict railway arches into vibrant spaces for food, drink, retail, and leisure. This scheme aims to revitalise the area, transforming the disused arches into a dynamic hub that will contribute to the local economy and community life.

The work included;

Full strip out and refurbishment to shell of arches 1-8. To include new glazed infills, external security shutter to protect glazing to mid height, double pedestrian doors, and fire escape/egress door to Arches 1-5.

New insulated concrete floor slab, new utilities, new lining, capped services for the future tenant kitchen, and accessible WC in each demise.

Perimeter power and external works including, partial road closures, new architectural paving and soft landscaping.

New capped utilities provided to serve each unit. This includes the construction of a new electric sub station.

Unit signage for Arch number and additional for tenant.

The construction included traditional methods, RC Floors, Aluminium and plastic arch liners, curtain wall aluminium double glazing, external pcc kerbs & paving, tarmac, basic M&E installation that included Air Source Heat Pumps
