The recently completed 31 bedroom extension at Wigan Premier Inn just off the M6 at Junction 25 sees Triton Construction complete their 1000th hotel bedroom for Premier Inn. WORK EXPERIENCE WEEK

  Andrew Edwards joined the Triton team for a week for work experience. Andrew spent his week on site at the famous Royal Liver Building, he thoroughly enjoyed himself and was a great help to the team by back checking the snag lists! He has also had a go at evaluating method statements, filed paperwork and tidied the files up. He showed the beginnings of a great little manager as he asked lots of questions, he also took in and understood the trades and their issues on site. The Olivers Lake Challenge for Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust Dianne’s story Myself and my son Daniel are keen to raise money for a local charity and for some mad reason thought swimming across lake Windermere was a good idea ! Children from Chorlton Park Primary School had the chance this week for a walk around the building site to see how their new school was coming along. Triton construction site manager Gary Quarmby showed 4 small groups of children around the site whilst explaining how the steel works were being put up and giving them information about how a building site works.

A lovely letter of thanks was received by our QS Josh Cutler after holding 2 short seminars with year 9 students from Penistone Grammar School. The talks were aimed at careers, opportunities and paths into construction. The students then had a walk round the Triton Construction site at Penistone Grammar School to see the works first hand.  

TRITON WINS £1.5M CONTRACT FOR NEW TESTING FACILITY

Triton Construction has won a £1.5m contract to build a new testing facility for a West Yorkshire-based gear manufacturer. The company will construct a new 5,400 sq ft warehouse building for David Brown Santasalo at its headquarters in Huddersfield. The contract includes full mechanical and engineering (M&E) installation, associated external works and drainage. The new facility is being purpose built for testing new and refurbished gearboxes and Triton is installing special measures for anti-vibration and sound proofing. TRITON CONSTRUCTION REPORTS RECORD YEAR

Triton Construction has reported its best ever trading performance but said a period of consolidation is expected in 2020 following this year’s political uncertainties. The company, which has offices at Liversedge in West Yorkshire and Warrington, has reported consolidated turnover of £58m and a 76 per cent increase in net profits for the year ending 31 March 2019. It has achieved 106 per cent increase on 2017 turnover, as well as growth on the prior two years where turnover averaged at £36m.
