Triton Construction has secured a £4m contract to deliver a new workshop facility for gritter manufacturer, Econ Engineering in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The contract includes site preparation and construction of a new 31,570 sq ft state of the art building with supporting facilities. Econ Engineering is a family-owned business which makes more than 85% of the UK’s winter road maintenance vehicles. It recently purchased the 24-acre site, close to its Ripon headquarters, to facilitate expansion plans and expects to create an additional 50 new jobs. Triton Construction has announced the recruitment of eight new team members as it pursues ambitious plans to expand its North West regional presence and increase turnover by around 30% over the next financial year. Redsun Projects has appointed Triton Construction as main contractor to deliver Knowsley Hub, a new 50,000 sq ft trade counter scheme on Knowsley Industrial Estate in Merseyside Redsun completed the acquisition of the three-acre site from Knowsley Council and secured planning for the scheme in April this year. Designed and project managed by C4 Projects, the development comprises seven units ranging in size from 8,000 sq ft up to 10,000 sq ft. Triton will be starting work at the end of July at Hillocks Primary Academy, Sutton-in-Ashfield. This scheme is for alterations and demolition work to an existing school to revamp the existing classrooms and circulation area, to create a new kitchen in the hall and build a new sports equipment store

Triton are delighted to have been awarded a great local scheme. The construction of 18 supported living apartments with staff accommodations within a 2 storey block with associated external works in Swadlincote, Derbyshire will begin on site in July.

Another great scheme has been awarded to our North West Office. Work will begin shortly at Knowsley Industrial Park where the existing site will be reconfigured to form 5 retail / industrial units plus a service yard with a car park.

Promotion News within Triton, we are delighted to announce Assistant Site Manager Alex Maud has now been promoted to Site Manager. Alex has gone from strength to strength over the last year and it is down to all his hard work, resilience and proven track record that shows he is more than up for the challenge of Site Manager. Alex will also soon be starting his MCIOB qualification, another achievement we are sure Alex will smash. Congratulations Alex.
