This project was for a new SPAR petrol station and forecourt with retail store, including all infrastructure services, landscaping and external finishes. The store was constructed to a shell for the client fit out team to complete.
Existing drainage was planned to be re-used but a survey uncovered numerous faults. New drainage was designed and laid.
Nature of build required intumescent paint to be applied before the building was weather tight. This couldn’t be achieved in winter. We reviewed the strategy and came up with a solution which included fire stopping and an alternative paint, allowing the works to be carried out a later date.
Client wanted additional solar panels to maximise the roof space. We engaged a supplier who carried out the cost calculation, to ensure the most economic solution was achieved.
The construction methods used on this project were concrete slab, steel frame, masonry, cladding and tiled roofing.
