Something nice to end the week. Our Aftercare Manager Phil Smith will be racing home this Friday evening to watch as his son in law does a flypast over his house, as part of the Red Arrows, Chris (flying Red Arrow 8) and the team are flying from RAF Waddington to Blackpool airport. Triton have nominated Jake for Trainee of the year for the Yorks & Humber region. Jake has shown continuous improvement and is going from strength to strength in the Commercial department currently running two of his own jobs. Triton have been awarded another great local scheme, the works at Middleton Retail Park, Leeds consist of 9 units including Lidl and B&M and will begin on site at the end of August.

Another great scheme has been secured by our Yorkshire Office. RMR Building, Newton Aycliffe is a raw materials receiving building at an Anaerobic Digestion waste to energy facility. Works will begin on site at the end of August.

Well done to Jack Turton who has just completed his work experience on our new site in Beeston, Leeds for 63 Extra Care Apartments. Jack is about to start his final year at high school in September to complete his O’levels, still undecided on his future career Jack joined one of our engineers on the site where he had a go at setting out, cubing concrete and taking off CAD drawings. Great to have you on site Jack, we hope this opportunity has given you an idea for the future.

It is always great to see school children on our sites, this week saw a visit from the children at Pioneer House High School, they visited the site office with Paul Spencer the site manager, they even brought along the school dog, hope you had a great visit guys.

The last surviving gaslit cinema in the world to reopen in Leeds. The £4.8m refurbishment works which has taken eight years included an extension to the building, restoration of the interior and a 50 seat second screen. The picture house is set to reopen to the public on the 30th June, one hundred and nine years after first opening. Hyde Park is thought to be the only surviving gaslit cinema in the world.
