NORTH WEST SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Based in our Birchwood , Warrington office

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and ensure that the Company’s  objectives are achieved. They will liaise with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues including agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level, reporting accurate cash flow and carry out cost management including forecasting. Update the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans and have accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and strategy.

The successful candidate wills also need to ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit and actively seek to improve processes and procedures.

Exceptional skills at developing and maintaining external relationships are key with both clients and the design team

Managing and monitoring the supply chain are engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions

Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting

Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial

Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operational site teams

Supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors

NORTH WEST QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Based in our Birchwood, Warrington office

To successfully carry out your role, you’ll need to:

  • prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client;
  • undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
  • assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies;
  • perform risk, value management and cost control;
  • advise on a procurement strategy;
  • identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks;
  • prepare and analyse costings for tenders;
  • allocate work to subcontractors;
  • provide advice on contractual claims;
  • analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports;
  • value completed work and arrange payments;
  • maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
  • understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

SITE MANAGER

Site Manager/ Project Manager required to cover the North region for both our North West office in Warrington and Head Office in Liversedge.

You will be required to oversee operations on a day to day basis and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.

As a Site Manager , you could be responsible for a whole site or, with larger schemes, you may be responsible for a part of a project and report to a more Senior Manager.

Duties will include ensuring the site is ready by taking on staff , preparing the site and carefully planning the work to be done.

Past experience and a proven track record are essential.

You will report directly to a Contracts Manager.
