TRITON CHARITY WEEKEND 2018

The weather wasn’t with us this year but that didn’t stop team Triton completing another fabulous weekend all in the name of charity. This years being the Hollybank Trust.

The cycling team set off from head office in Liversedge and cycled a grueling 63 miles to Leyburn.

A slight change to the programme this year with a challenge between Chris Horne and Josh Cutler . Chris challenged Josh to complete the entire journey on a mountain bike whilst Chris ( non professional cyclist ) attempted to beat him on his road bike , unfortunately due to technical difficulties Chris was unable to take part in the bike ride but Josh , true to his word stuck with his mountain bike , not only did he manage this he also won the day with the high climb finish  , well done Josh.

Mark Harvey won the prestigious “Rider of the Day” trophy and Thomas Halloran won the “King of the Mountain” for a second year running.

30 Triton staff , family and friends  , 6 dogs and a 6 month old baby completed a 9 mile walk taking in Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls in the drizzling rain with only one pub stop to help them on their way but again every one including all the children finished in good time and were ready to cheer on the cyclists at the end.

For the second year  Paul Wood and his walkers completed the Long Walk which took over three days from head office all the way back to Leyburn a full journey of 55 miles – absolutely fabulous achievement !

Live entertainment , camping and a hog roast (which was lovingly attended all day by Chris Nash) finished off the evening in good style with medals and awards for the winners.

A special thank you to the wonderful Cow Close Barn camp site in Leyburn for putting up with us all again http://www.cowclosecaravanandcamping.co.uk/

Fantastic effort from everyone involved and so far we have raised nearly £2,500.00.

It is not too late to donate so please do support us and this worthy cause   https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/triton-construction-ltd1
