This new school building is situated within the grounds in front of the existing Kirkhamgate Primary School.

Concrete Strip foundations, concrete GF slab, metal deck and concrete FF, Steel frame, SFS, brickwork, aluminium windows and doors were used in the construction of the school.

We have added roof mounted solar PV.

We maximized the re-use of materials on site for the landscaped playing areas.

Working next to a live school was a challenge but with thorough planning and daily liaison with the trust and the school team the project was delivered without issues.

After handover work started on demolishing the old school, again working closely with the school was our main aim to ensure the safety of all children, staff and visitors to cause minimum disruption to the day to day operation of the school.
